How do we choose a laser marking machine when considering different materials

Several common plastic materials include ABS plastic (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), PP plastic (polypropylene), PS plastic (polystyrene), PPS plastic (polyphenylene sulfide), and PP (polypropylene). For semiconductor laser marking, >laser marking machines, fiber laser marking machines, and CO2 laser marking machines can all be used to mark plastics (regardless of the material), but Zhongtian Laser recommends using the Zhongtian CO2 laser marking machine.

2. Regarding material quality, Zhongtian previously worked with a client who specializes in manufacturing lubricant barrels. The client presented two barrels of the same model and material, but different colors. The blue barrel was easily marked using a 10W machine, whereas the red one showed poor marking results with a 10W machine, necessitating the use of a 20W CO2 laser marking machine. The reason behind this is that the red barrel contained more impurities, indicating that the purity of the material in the two barrels differed.
